This Privacy Policy explains how Entrevest, LLC, which provides the CentraView platform ("Entrevest", "CentraView", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the CentraView platform, websites, applications, and related services (the "Service").
1. Scope and our role
This Policy applies to information we process as a business — including data about visitors to our websites, users of the Service, and prospective customers.
- When we act as a "controller" (we decide how and why data is processed) — for example, for account, billing, website, and marketing data — this Policy governs and describes your rights.
- When we act as a "processor" or "service provider" — for the Customer Data our customers put into the Service — we process that data on the customer's behalf and under their instructions. That customer's own privacy policy governs it; if you are an individual whose data a customer manages in CentraView, please contact that customer to exercise your rights, and our processing is described in the customer's agreement and any Data Processing Addendum.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, organization, role, and authentication data when you or your administrator create an account.
- Customer Data — the contacts, companies, deals, notes, tickets, files, and other records you and your Users enter into or upload to the Service. We process this on your behalf as described above.
- Connected-service data — if you connect a Third-Party Service such as Google, we access data from it to provide the features you enable. See Google user data below.
- Usage and device data — log data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages and actions, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure and improve the Service. See Cookies below.
- Communications and support — information you provide when you contact us, request support, or respond to surveys.
- Information from partners and other sources — where you are referred or provisioned through a channel partner, or where we receive lawful business-contact or enrichment data.
3. Google user data
When you connect a Google account, you grant CentraView access to specific Gmail data through Google OAuth. We request the narrowest scopes needed for the features you use:
- Read access (
gmail.readonly) — to read messages in your connected mailbox so we can match them to the corresponding CRM contact and show that history on the contact's timeline, including an optional one-time import of past mail when you connect. - Send access (
gmail.send) — to send email from the Service through your own mailbox, only when you explicitly compose and send a message or reply.
We use this data solely to provide and improve the user-facing CRM features described above. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Limited Use disclosure
CentraView's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Service.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
4. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and its features.
- Associate email and activity to the correct records and keep customer history complete.
- Authenticate users, provide support, and communicate about your account, security, and changes.
- Understand usage and develop new features, using aggregated or de-identified data where practical.
- Send administrative and, where permitted, marketing communications (which you can opt out of).
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our terms.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing as a controller, we rely on: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service (balanced against your rights); your consent where required (which you may withdraw); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers (subprocessors). With vendors who process data on our behalf under contract — such as cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics — only as needed to run the Service, and bound to protect it.
- Within your workspace. Customer Data is visible to authorized Users of your account according to their permissions, and to a channel partner you authorize to administer your account.
- Legal and safety. When required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Entrevest, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with notice to affected customers as required.
- With your direction. To Third-Party Services you connect, and otherwise at your direction.
7. International data transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country not deemed to provide adequate protection, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request more information about these safeguards using the contact details below.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period unless a longer retention is required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. You can disconnect a mailbox or other integration at any time in your settings, which deletes the stored access credentials for that connection and stops further syncing. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us at privacy@centraview.com; where we act as a processor, we handle deletion in line with our customer's instructions and agreement.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by such laws. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@centraview.com; we will verify and respond as required by law. If your data is managed by a customer using CentraView (we act as processor), please direct your request to that customer. You can also revoke CentraView's access to your Google account at any time by disconnecting it in the Service or through your Google Account's security settings. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in them.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service (such as keeping you signed in), and — where permitted — cookies that help us remember preferences and understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the Service works.
11. Security
We protect information using industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive credentials, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.
12. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Third-party links
The Service and our websites may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means.
15. Contact us
Questions about this Policy or your data can be sent to privacy@centraview.com. CentraView is a platform of Entrevest, LLC, which is the controller responsible for personal data handled under this Policy except where we act as a processor on a customer's behalf.
